Going into space.

Thank you for all your views so far, the response has been great!

Here we have a picture of a space shuttle, not but 15 minutes away from take-off.

Good morning, Yellowstone National Park

The Yellowstone National Park lies within the Yellowstone Caldera, or sometimes referred to as the 'super volcano' the caldera is located in the north west corner of Wyoming, of which a vast amount of the park is contained! Due to the volcanic and tectonic nature of nature of the region, around 2000 measurable earthquakes happen each year, a vast figure, showing how volatile the area is. Looks beautiful!

Can you spot the battleship on the right?

Beautiful scenery, and a machine of war, powerful stuff.

Iceland bay

This bay in Iceland looks so peaceful and remote!

This picture of this Icelandic bay shows just how remote some places in the world can be!

Edited this for maybe an hour,so it didnt take all that long, simply added a little more glow in the water, and tried to magnify the huts to immediately capture the viewes gaze!
This little bay of the coast of Iceland looks stunning, the temperatures can get very low though, soif you plan to visit bring a coat, or some thermal arctic clothing!

Ancient Mayan Temples

This is the original image, look at the light through the clouds!

The Ancient Maya
The Maya are probably the best-known of the classical civilizations of Mesoamerica. Originating in the Yucatán around 2600 B.C., they rose to prominence around A.D. 250 in present-day southern Mexico, Guatemala, northern Belize and western Honduras. Building on the inherited inventions and ideas of earlier civilizations such as the Olmec, the Maya developed astronomy, calendrical systems and hieroglyphic writing. The Maya were noted as well for elaborate and highly decorated ceremonial architecture, including temple-pyramids, palaces and observatories, the Maya are probably the best-known of the classical civilizations of Mesoamerica.

I really love this photograph, the reflection on the water creates a real eerie feel, almost spooky. This temple is over 2,000 years old, I wonder what I would look like after 2,000 years? If its half as good as this temple, I don't think I have anything to worry about.

Edited with Photo scape, the colours look amazing!
This is the same photograph, edited with Photo scape, its a great program, Allowing the complete manipulation of the photo.

I added some reflection in the water, and changed all the colours a little bit, though time consuming this is really easy to do!!! Photo scape also allows for shadowing, so I deepened the clouds, and created a storm over the ancient Mayan Temple.

I am not sure about how you feel about this ancient ruin, Nevertheless I will visit one day.

Have a great Saturday, and a better weekend.

Amazing Californian Coastline!

Quite a beautiful picture of the Californian coastline...I edited this one a little bit, but not so much to ruin the picture!

Amazing New Forest!

The New Forest-amazing scenery, and a great place to start.

I remember taking this photo late last year, It was a cold, early December morning in Hampshire, and about 100 metres away stood 4-5 deer grazing on the forest floor, the cold doesn't seem to bother them none.

Photography is really quite amazing, don't you think? The word photography derives from the Greek words 'photos'- meaning light and 'graphien'-to draw. For me, this interpretation of the word configures everything I love about photography, some light is needed for any good shot, be it artificial or real, and in that moment you take a great photo would it be wrong to say that  you don't feel self accomplished? That you have taken something really amazing and created a forever lasting memory? A happiness that simply will not dim, if you continue to appreciate nature.

This is exactly how I feel about photography, the weather doesn't need to be perfect to enjoy it, And increasingly important these days, unlike most other enjoyable activities, taking photographs is not costly.

Everyday I will take/edit/find amazing photographs and share them via this blog for comment, and well, for everybody's viewing pleasure.
